Overview: The coal miner Prokop complains about his fate. For some time now, evil forces have been ruining his coal mining work, and he is being haunted by witches. He decides to move out of the region. But the kind Stazka, the blacksmith's wife, won't let him. And he discovers that the queen of the witches is the missing girl from their village, Mařenka. How can the unfortunate Mařenka be saved from the spell and what has actually happened to her? Only a good deed by a person who once hurt her can save her. Such an act will transform the queen of the witches back into a pretty peasant girl.
