Overview: The protagonist of the film, Druyanov, is the director of a large boiler manufacturing plant — a talented man with vast life experience, capable of understanding current challenges and looking into the future. However, he is about to be dismissed from his position. A young appointee is in no hurry to take over and comes to familiarize himself with the plant. In the end, taking the side of the director who wants to reconstruct and modernize the workshops, he realizes that he has not yet reached Druyanov’s level.
